Bounce@TheLearningRoom provides high-quality, personalised tuition for students unable to attend school due to reasons such as SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance), or suspension. We offer small-group, supportive learning in a dedicated environment with qualified, DBS-checked staff at our learning facility near Preston Park.

 

Our programme is designed to support students who are currently unable to attend their regular school. In collaboration with the host school, we focus on providing tuition in core subjects such as Maths and English, along with personal development learning. Our main objective is to build resilience, confidence, and academic skills, helping students work towards successfully returning to school.

 

Each student will receive a personalised learning programme tailored to their individual needs, with input from the host school. Progress and attendance updates will be shared regularly with key school staff through live, shared documents to ensure ongoing communication and support.

 

We aim to work with schools across Brighton, offering a focused, cost-effective, and supportive provision that can complement the school's wider efforts to support vulnerable students.

 

Our Offer:

- Small Group Tuition: Each student will be part of a small group, ensuring individual attention and      support.

- Qualified Staff: All sessions are led by qualified, DBS-checked staff members.

- Personalised Programmes: Tuition plans are tailored to each student, based on information provided by the school.

- Progress Updates: Regular feedback will be shared with the school to track the student’s progress and engagement.

- Capacity: We currently offer sessions Monday to Wednesday during school hours, with plans to expand to five days a week.

- Learning Centre: Our centre is fully equipped with a range of resources, including laptops for students and examination resources

- Cost: The cost for a one-hour session is £35 per student. We anticipate a full programme for each child will run for 13 weeks.

 

We hope to build strong partnerships with schools, providing a service that supports students in their educational journey while fostering resilience and re-engagement with learning.
